This is much trickier. TC Electronic did not believe in embedding human-readable dates into their serials until the Behringer merger. However, you can use a "soft decoder" based on known production batches.
Before the massive consolidation under Music Tribe (Behringer’s parent company), TC was a proud Danish company. Their serial numbers from this era are actually the most informative.
The Format: Usually XXXX-XX-XXXX or a simple 8-10 digit string starting with a 1 or 2. tc electronic serial number decoder
The Decoder Ring:
The Hack: If the serial number starts with 08 or 09 and the electrolytic capacitors are brown, you are looking at a unit from the early 2000s that likely needs a re-cap immediately. Danish TC caps dry out like the Sahara. This is much trickier
Look at the digits immediately following the letter.
TC Helicon (now also under MUSIC Group) uses a similar but distinct format: H23031234. The H stands for Helicon; 23 is the year; 03 is March. This falls under the same modern decoder rules. Digits 3-5 (The Batch/Week): This is the golden ticket
