A product key for PlanMaker 2021 will not work for PlanMaker 2024. SoftMaker releases major paid upgrades every 2-3 years. You can continue using your old version forever, but to get new features, you need an upgrade key (usually offered at a discount to existing users).
Businesses can buy 5, 10, or 50+ licenses at steep discounts (as low as $20 per user). SoftMaker also bundles PlanMaker with hardware (e.g., some mini-PCs and German laptops include a key sticker).
SoftMaker partners with academic resellers (e.g., OnTheHub, AcademicSuperstore) to offer PlanMaker product keys for $15–$25 for students and teachers. Nonprofits can apply for donated licenses via TechSoup.
