Pre-made images often already use full space, but if you flash to a larger drive (e.g., 480 GB SSD):

Do not resize with Windows tools – you’ll break Linux permissions.

You have two options: Download a pre-made "image" (community build) or build your own. Here is the professional guide for the DIY approach.

Connect to Batocera over network (easiest):

Access shares:

Key folders inside SHARE:

| Folder | Purpose | |--------|---------| | roms/ | Each console subfolder (e.g., snes, psx) | | bios/ | System BIOS files | | saves/ | Save states, SRAM | | screenshots/ | Manual scraped media | | themes/ | Custom ES themes |

⚠️ A 320 GB image may have hundreds of ROMs. Delete what you don’t play to free space.

Check free space:

df -h /userdata

Add ROMs:

For PS2 (PCSX2), Wii (Dolphin), or PSP – large ISOs (4+ GB each) fill space fast. Prioritize.
