The Adam-4561 defaults to RS-232 mode. To change the interface:

Look for a file named similar to:

The ADAM-4561 uses internal DIP switches. Changing the driver without setting the hardware will result in no communication.
If you need a clean reinstall (e.g., after failed updates): The utility will detect your device and show current mode
Many SCADA systems and custom VB6 tools still run on Windows 10 but fail to see COM ports above COM4.
Fix: Enable the Termination Resistor (SW4 = ON) for long cables. For short cables (under 10 ft), set SW4 = OFF.
